Introduction

Myanmar legally established EIA in 2015 through the approval of the EIA procedure. 

The EIA procedure provides detailled guidance for all projects requiring EIA and for all stakeholders having a role in EIA. 

Some guidance for Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) has been included in the EIA procedure, see art 123 and 124.
