Nigeria

In Nigeria, the NCEA was involved in two independent environmental assessment advices in 2004 and 2005. In 2024 NCEA was approached by both the ministry of Environment and the ministry of Energy to give support to Strategic Environmental Assessment through process support and capacity strengthening.

The first intervention was the kick-off event in support of SESA for the development of a Hydropower Master Plan. Looking forward for a fruitful collaboration with both ministries in the upcoming years.
