Yemen

Yemen was the first country where the international department became active in 1993.

Since then a lot of capacity was strengthened and EIA guidance developed. The NCEA provided independent advice on several projects such as reservoir water and sanitation, dams and road programmes. Presently, the authorities responsible for environment and water are being supported in strategic planning of Wadi Hajr in the south of Yemen.
