SEA training Marine Spatial Planning Colombia

In 2024 we received a request from the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS) for SEA capacity building for their own staff. In 2024 we also contributed to a workshop on ESIA and SEA for offshore wind. Important parties attending were ANLA (national environmental licensing authority), MADS and MME (ministry of mining and energy). ANLA/MADS and MME would like to work together to draw up a Marine Spatial Plan (of which offshore wind is a part). They showed interest to align this with an SEA.
We suggested to link the requested capacity building to a pilot SEA applied to Marine Spatial Plan through a 3-day workshop which took place from 1-4 July 2025.
