Capacity development for ESIA consultants - Ethiopia

The Ethiopian Association of ESIA practicioners requested NCEA support in capacity building for their members. A 3 day training session will take place in January 2025 for about 25 participants. 

Training topics will include: 
ESIA Report Quality: to ensure that ithese are comprehensive, clear, and adhere to best practices, including detailed section on best-practice ESMPs.
International standards and best practices: OECD, IAIA, Environmental and Social Safeguards of the World Bank and/or African Development Bank, best practices from neighboring countries
Ethiopian ESIA guidelines and standards in collaboration with the federal EPA
