In November, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) organised a study tour for the member states of the West-Africa Coastal Areas (WACA) programme.
The NCEA supports this programme through its cooperation with WAEMU, one of the implementing partners. The NCEA has provided capacity development for this programme and is now exploring how best to support transboundary ESIAs and SEAs for the member states. On request of RVO, the NCEA facilitated a discussion on how these instruments can further strengthen the durability of the WACA projects. It was also a great opportunity to touch base with participants from many NCEA partner countries!
