A Regional Climate Workshop titled "Climate change in development: challenges and opportunities" has taken place in Nairobi from 25-27 March 2014.

Significant details

The workshop targeted water and food security experts from Dutch Embassies in Sub-Saharan Africa and aimed to contribute to a more coherent Dutch climate policy. The NCEA supported the Department for Climate, Environment, Energy and Water (DME) of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in facilitating this workshop. Following the workshop, DME asked the NCEA together with NWP, CDI and WRI to assist in a climate change screening of water and food security programmes financed by DME. For more information, see: http://dsu.eia.nl/publications/advisory-reports/7124.
