During the 21st meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) the Convention on Biological Diversity's (CBD) in Montreal, Canada, from 11 - 14 December 2017 the NCEA participated in awareness raising activities among government employees, notably on the SEA instrument and the role of government agencies in applying it. Focus was on applying SEA in the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors.
