The NCEA is supporting the Ministry of Environment of Georgia with the introduction of SEA. The Ministry asked the NCEA to provide comments on draft Terms of Reference (ToR) for an SEA for Georgia's power sector.
The NCEA issued an advice of the secretariat in which it gave its comments. Main comments included:
- Some strategic decisions have already been taken, which limits the opportunities for applying SEA outcomes;
- The quality of the ToR is good and these ToR can result in a good SEA report.
Some specific comments were also included in the advice.
