Environmental & social assessment for Central African forests

The NCEA has assisted the Secretariat for Environmental Assessment in Central Africa (SEACA-SEEAC) in elaborating a Directive on Environmental and Social Assessment for the forests of Central Africa. This Directive has now been adopted (29th of November) by the Council of Ministers (Forestry and/or Environmental Ministers) of the ten member countries of the Commission of Central African Forests (COMIFAC). The Council called upon its member countries to transpose the Directive in their national legislation.
