The ESIA agency had requested the NCEA to support the Ministry in charge of environment and the World Bank to restructure the ESIA agency of Burkina Faso. The NCEA then carried out an ESIA Mapping, aiming to review the performance of the current ESIA system, and to identify system improvements. In the same year, the NCEA carried out an independent quality review of an EISA for a Dutch project on improving the Access to Healthcare for Mother & Child in Burkina Faso. This was a request from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
