  • supported informed decision-making regarding large-scale plans and projects related to land-use planning, mining, water management, coastal protection, and energy in 32 countries.
  • got increasingly involved in the initial phase of plan-making, where impact assessment has the best potential to support collaborative governance for sustainable development;
  • organised a partner conference for West African and francophone countries in Saly, Senegal, where it facilitated peer-to-peer exchange between 10 countries around strategic integrated planning and SEA;
  • was involved in three trajectories under the Sustainability Analysis programme, around governance challenges related to mineral resources for the global energy transition, sustainable green hydrogen production, and rural land use governance in view of agricultural value chains;
  • initiated the re-establishment of the SEA section under the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA), connecting Strategic Environmental Assessment experts worldwide;
  • developed knowledge products and contributed to various events, in partner countries as well as internationally, related to Strategic Environmental Assessment for Marine Spatial Planning;
