Significant details

The Cape Verdean Ministry of Infrastructures, Transports and Telecommunications, represented by its executive vehicle ENAPOR, has proposed a project with the objective to contribute to national economic growth by developing Cape Verde as an attractive cruise destination. The project comprises the realisation of a dedicated cruise ship terminal and auxiliary facilities in the port of Porto Grande at Mindelo, on the island of Sao Vicente, and the development of the local tourist industry (local offer of touristic products) in Sao Vincente and St. Antão. The Ministry of Infrastructures, Transports and Telecommunications has applied to the Dutch ORIO facility for project funding. A draft ESIA report was submitted to ORIO in April 2015.
