The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, RVO) requested the NCEA to assist in the screening of seven projects on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements in relation to the Ghana WASH Window.
With the Ghana WASH Window the Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports public-private projects in the field of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and/or integral water management in Ghana.
The advisory report provides information on:
- EIA screening against Ghanaian EIA legislation;
- advice on legislative and procedural requirements for environmental assessment for the various proposals and how to effectively meet these;
- where relevant, additional advice on how sustainability issues and environmental and climate risks can be managed in project development and implementation.
