Can environmental assessment help to combat climate change or adapt to its effects? Yes, it can! E(S)IA and SEA offer opportunities to consider climate change in all steps along the way - from the assessment of alternatives to the development of mitigation measures. The NCEA published a compendium of twelve cases - gathered from members of the International Association for Impact Assessment - that show 'good practice' in a variety of sectors and countries.
