Guidance on ESIA legal frameworks for mining

Geneva, 18 October 2018 - The NCEA will assist the Intergovernmental Forum on mining and sustainable development (IGF) in developing practical guidance on improving ESIA legal frameworks for mining. This initiative is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was discussed at IGF's Annual Meeting where NCEA's director Rob Verheem served as one of the panelists in the "ESIA and mining" special session.
