This year marks the end of NCEA’s five year capacity development programme on the strengthening of EIA systems in Central Africa. What has been achieved? The NCEA together with partner SEACA (the Secretariat for Environmental Assessment in Central Africa) has repeated the EIA mappings of 2006 in Burundi, Rwanda, Cameroun, Congo and the CAR. Comparison of results with the first mappings of 2006 will provide insight in the evolution of the EIA systems. Do you want to know more? Join us at the international closing seminar on 3-4 October in Douala, Cameroun, where the final results will be presented!
