Advisory Reports by a working group

These advisory reports are prepared by NCEA's working groups. A working group consists of international experts related to the subject of study and is headed by a chairperson. The working group is installed for a short period of time to visit the location, talk with local experts and draft the final report. The advisory reports are related to:

Terms of Reference (ToR) and review of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for controversial and complex projects;
Terms of Reference (ToR), review and process of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEAs) for policies, plans and programmes.

This process is organized by one of NCEA’s technical secretaries (see Staff).

Description of the proposed activity
Full-text of the advice.
Accompanying letter by the chairperson of the working group, focussing on the relevant details not mentioned in the advice.

The advisory reports are mostly available in English, sometimes in Spanish and French.

Advisory Reports by a technical secretary.

Technical secretary Ineke Steinhauer These advisory reports are prepared by one or more of the technical secretaries (when necessary, experts can be called upon), related to:

the development or improvement of legislation, regulations and institutional setting for EIA;
the introduction of SEA;
training activities
the review of small project proposals or development plans (usually requested by the DGIS or the Netherlands Embassies);
